A.S.S.I.S.T. (Aid & support for students in Sudden Transition)

The A.S.S.I.S.T. is a St. Johns County School District program that supports students that are homeless and/or unaccompanied as defined by the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. This  federal law ensures homeless and/or unaccompanied youth have equal access to the same free, appropriate public education and other services as provided to other children and youths.

Donations are used to help with school supplies, activities and fees and family expenses that can help support students’ success in school.  Mentors are also needed for our unaccompanied youth.
